Dearest Frances
Thank you for all the kindness you have shown not just us
but many, I remember how we used to support each other when Paddy and Griff
were in Iraq (those two together were trouble!), and how it was so great to put
a face to a name when we finally met.
All the help you gave me with the wedding sorting out the
invites and the photographer, we were so thankful…it was all going soooo well
until half of us were wiped out with food poisoning lol! People are still talking about it 11 years
on!
Do you remember when you told me to enter a competition at
your work at the printers? It was for a bottle of champagne and you gave me the
answers and made sure I won…what a star!
The meal you cooked when we came to your house was gorgeous,
you went to so much trouble, I will never forget that homemade crumble yum! Not
forgetting enough booze to sink a battleship! We really enjoyed the walk you
took us on by your house, so pretty and with all your lovely family (all
barking mad…. I wonder where they get that from?! But we had such a laugh).
We used to always envy all your jolly jaunts “I’m just off
to Brussels or Bruges” or somewhere else, I still call you Judith Chalmers or
Alan Whicker as you were always on your holiday!
You are a warm, loving, caring person Frances, beautiful
inside and out and your traits have been passed on to your children and grandchildren,
a real testimony to you, family first, it always has been for you not many
people can say that, you can with knobs on.
No one can ever
believe your age as you always look like a total glamour puss putting the rest
of us to shame! Everyone always took at least 10 years off your age! C’mon…it’s
time to share the secret!
God bless you lovely lady, thank you for everything and for
bringing sunshine into this world with a smile that lights up the sky and a
heart overflowing with love and kindness, I’m not going to say goodbye my dear
friend, just ta ta til we meet again.
Much love always
Lea and Griff xxxx
